Analog Devices adopted Cadence’s Tensilica digital signal processor technology for its SHARC-FX processor core. The core will support the ADSP-SC84x/2184x automotive audio processor family and target software-defined vehicle applications, including road-noise cancellation, immersive 3D audio, and AI-assisted functions. The 16nm platform is expected to deliver up to five times the performance of its predecessor and includes expanded memory for compute-intensive audio, voice, and AI workloads.
