Total net investment income decreased 23% year-over-year to $1.127 billion in the second quarter of 2026 from $1.466 billion. The decline primarily reflected changes in the fair value of AIG’s Corebridge investment and equity securities. Net investment income on an adjusted pre-tax income basis declined 5% to $908 million from $955 million, driven by lower Other Operations investment income, while General Insurance investment income remained flat at $871 million. Other Operations net investment income and other declined 58% to $39 million from $92 million, including the absence of $27 million of Corebridge dividends and lower short-term investment income.
