Net income attributable to AIG common shareholders declined 17% year-over-year to $948 million in the second quarter of 2026 from $1.144 billion. Diluted GAAP earnings per share decreased 10% to $1.78, while adjusted after-tax income increased 2% to $1.069 billion and adjusted after-tax income per diluted share increased 10% to $2.00. The GAAP decline was primarily caused by changes in the fair value of AIG’s Corebridge investment and equity securities, partly offset by higher underwriting income. Return on equity was 9.4%, adjusted return on equity was 10.2%, and Core Operating ROE was 11.1%.
