Total net investment income decreased 23% to $1.127 billion in the second quarter of 2026 and 28% to $1.839 billion for the first six months. Six-month net investment income declined $732 million, primarily because fair-value changes in Corebridge and equity securities reduced income by $744 million and alternative-investment and mortgage-loan income fell $101 million. Higher income from available-for-sale fixed-maturity securities partially offset the decline by $132 million for the six-month period. Other Operations adjusted pre-tax loss increased $102 million for six months, primarily because lower short-term investment income and Corebridge dividends reduced net investment income and other by $109 million.
