Global Personal Demand Trends
AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL GROUP, INC. · 2026-08-07 · Importance 49 · Surprise 32
Global Personal sells Accident & Health, Personal Lines, warranty, device protection, home warranty and high-net-worth insurance products across the United States, Japan, the United Kingdom, EMEA, Asia Pacific, Latin America and Caribbean, and China. Six-month net premiums written increased 9% to $3.347 billion, excluding favorable foreign exchange, primarily from reinsurance program changes and organic growth in U.S. high-net-worth and Accident & Health products. Net premiums earned were broadly flat because lower Warranty production offset premium growth elsewhere. The six-month combined ratio improved 12.0 points to 91.2, reflecting lower catastrophe losses, improved accident-year loss experience, favorable prior-year development and better commission terms.
