Blended yields on new investments exceeded the blended rates on investments sold, matured or called during the six months ended June 30, 2026. AIG continued investing in structured securities and other fixed-maturity securities with attractive risk-adjusted returns to improve yields and net investment income. Despite these reinvestment conditions, total net investment income declined 28 percent year over year to $1.839 billion for the six months ended June 30, 2026, primarily because of lower fair-value-related income from Corebridge and equity securities and lower alternative-investment and mortgage-loan income.
