Embedded revenue increased 19% year over year to $977 million in the second quarter and 12% to $1.9 billion for the first six months. Revenue growth reflected strengthened demand across end markets in both reporting periods. Embedded operating income increased to $386 million from $275 million in the quarter and to $724 million from $603 million for six months. The operating income improvement was primarily driven by higher revenue, partly offset by higher cost of sales and operating expenses.
