GAAP total operating expenses were essentially flat at $6.540 billion versus $6.523 billion in the prior-year quarter, despite revenue growth. GAAP R&D expense increased 7% to $1.868 billion, driven by higher Later-Stage Clinical Programs spending, primarily MariTide, and Marketed Product Support.
