GAAP total operating expenses were essentially flat at $6.540 billion versus $6.523 billion in the prior-year quarter, despite revenue growth. GAAP R&D expense increased 7% to $1.868 billion, driven by higher Later-Stage Clinical Programs spending, primarily MariTide, and Marketed Product Support. GAAP SG&A increased 3% to $1.745 billion because of higher general and administrative and commercial product-related expenses. Non-GAAP operating expenses increased 11% to $5.442 billion, including a 10% increase in R&D to $1.851 billion and a 4% increase in SG&A to $1.717 billion.
