Amazon plans to expand its U.S. same-day delivery network from 85 facilities to more than 1,000 by 2031. The hubs are intended to be located within 10 miles of most Amazon Prime members, covering approximately 80% of U.S. Prime customers. The initiative would increase local inventory and accelerate delivery for frequently purchased products, intensifying competition with Walmart and other omnichannel retailers.
