Arista said white-box systems remain relevant for simple scale-up or scale-out deployments, ultra-low-cost applications and customers with large technical staffs. However, management believes increasingly complex scale-out and scale-across environments favor an integrated hardware-and-software platform because of security, traffic engineering, reliability and operational requirements. Neocloud customers are increasingly choosing EOS or hybrid combinations of EOS and open network operating systems, while Arista is seeing opportunities to expand beyond NVIDIA’s proprietary NVLink environments through AMD MI-series accelerators, Google TPUs and customer-built inference processors.
