Second-quarter GAAP operating income increased to $2,584.6 million from $1,418.8 million, and GAAP operating margin expanded to 29.5% from 25.1%. Adjusted operating income was $2,608.1 million and adjusted operating margin was 29.8%, compared with 25.6% and 24.5% in the prior-year quarter, respectively. Communications Solutions margin increased to 33.6% from 30.6%, Harsh Environment Solutions margin increased to 30.1% from 25.2%, and Interconnect and Sensor Systems margin increased to 21.0% from 19.5%. GAAP and adjusted operating income included an $80.0 million benefit from recovery of IEEPA tariffs.
