Broadcom reported unprecedented demand for custom AI accelerators or XPUs and AI networking solutions from leading frontier AI labs, driven by demand for AI compute. The AI XPV platform is intended to enable more than 20 gigawatts of XPU-based compute capacity and customized networking through 2028. In June 2026, Broadcom launched the platform with an initial $35 billion tranche to facilitate more than 1 gigawatt of compute infrastructure for a customer. The arrangement supports deployment of AI racks based on Broadcom-designed custom accelerators and related networking solutions.
