Global shipped beverage-can volumes increased 4.3% year over year, with growth in North and Central America, EMEA, and South America. Ball said packaged liquid volume continues to grow globally and aluminum cans are gaining share as consumers, customers, and retailers prioritize convenience, performance, and sustainability. In North America, the overall beverage market was relatively flat while cans grew approximately 2% to 3% and other substrates declined at a similar rate. Management said this was Ball’s sixth consecutive quarter of volume growth, with beer, soft drinks, and energy drinks all contributing.
