Global shipped beverage-can volumes increased 4.3% year over year in the second quarter, with growth in every region. North and Central America volumes rose low single digits, EMEA volumes increased mid-single digits, and South America volumes grew in the mid-teens. EMEA growth included Benepack’s contribution and was partly offset by the prior-year sale of the Saudi Arabian business. Personal and home care volumes grew at a high-single-digit rate and were accretive to companywide volume and operating-earnings growth.
