BNY Mellon is partnering with Galaxy Digital to add cryptocurrency staking to its Digital Asset Custody platform for institutional clients. Eligible clients will be able to earn rewards on proof-of-stake networks without moving assets off BNY’s platform. The planned framework will combine custody, staking, fund accounting, and tax reporting, while Galaxy will act as a design partner for BNY’s broader digital-asset infrastructure. The service remains subject to regulatory approval, and eligible cryptocurrencies and fee structures have not yet been disclosed.
