Greg Abel identified Berkshire Hathaway Energy as positioned to benefit from rising electricity demand tied to AI data-center construction. Data centers represented about 8% of Berkshire’s utility load in Iowa last year, with additional demand expected. Abel said energy availability may become the biggest physical constraint on AI data-center development, while U.S. communities are pushing back against new projects.
