Blackstone is reportedly in preliminary discussions with investors about a second debt package of at least $36 billion for Anthropic PBC. The financing would support Anthropic’s acquisition and use of Google custom tensor processing units and allow the company to expand AI infrastructure without equity dilution. The proposed package would exceed the $35 billion credit arrangement involving Apollo and Blackstone announced roughly two months earlier. Anthropic has confidentially filed for a U.S. IPO, according to the reports.
