Blackstone and EQT completed the acquisition of global environmental infrastructure and waste-management company Urbaser from Platinum Equity. The transaction value was approximately $6.6 billion, equivalent to €5.6 billion. Platinum Equity acquired Urbaser in 2021 and completed a multiyear operational and financial transformation before the sale. Platinum Equity retained Urbaser’s waste-management operations in Argentina, which generated approximately $90 million, or €80 million, of EBITDA in 2025.
