Second-quarter 2026 operating profit increased 50% to $4.295 billion from $2.860 billion, while operating margin expanded to 20.9% from 17.3%. Adjusted operating margin increased to 21.9% from 17.6%, excluding $202 million of restructuring costs comprising $139 million related to non-U.S. entity divestitures and $63 million of other restructuring costs. The operating profit increase was primarily driven by higher sales volume and included $392 million of expected IEEPA tariff recoveries. Power & Energy margin rose 2.5 percentage points to 24.6%, Construction Industries margin rose 3.2 points to 23.3%, and Resource Industries margin increased 0.4 points to 14.9%.
