Second-quarter 2026 restructuring costs totaled $202 million, including $139 million related to the divestiture of certain non-U.S. entities and $63 million of other restructuring costs. Restructuring costs increased primarily because of the divestiture of certain non-U.S. entities. The restructuring charges reduced GAAP second-quarter profit by $187 million after a $15 million tax benefit. Caterpillar reported no quantified headcount reductions or facility exits in this section.
