Caterpillar and aggregate producer Luck Stone are expanding autonomous haulage operations to two additional Virginia quarries after an 18-month pilot at Luck Stone’s Bull Run Quarry. The autonomous system has moved more than 3.5 million tons and is being deployed on Cat 775 trucks, including the first autonomous-haulage deployment of that model. The expansion is intended to improve quarry safety and production consistency while creating technology-focused roles and new opportunities for associates.
