Caterpillar and Luck Stone are expanding an autonomous hauling system from Luck Stone’s Bull Run Quarry to two additional Virginia quarries. The 18-month pilot has autonomously moved more than 3.5 million tons of material. The expansion is the first deployment of the technology on Cat 775 trucks and is intended to improve safety and production consistency while creating technology-focused associate roles.
