Higher sales were partly offset by lower gross profit margins from mix into certain hardware categories and lower margins in those categories. The pressure was most pronounced in Government, where the six-month gross profit margin declined 290 basis points to 19.5% due to hardware and services mix. Commercial also experienced a 50-basis-point margin decline to 21.8%, while Education benefited from higher margins in certain product categories.
