Second-quarter purchased power and fuel expense increased 28.4% to $4,023 million from $3,132 million, while operating and maintenance expense increased 39.3% to $2,253 million from $1,617 million. Depreciation and amortization rose 74.4% to $443 million from $254 million, and taxes other than income taxes increased 40.8% to $207 million from $147 million. Six-month operating and maintenance expense rose to $4,033 million from $3,162 million, and six-month depreciation and amortization increased to $886 million from $502 million. The 2026 reconciliation includes Calpine merger and integration costs of $84 million after tax in the quarter and $145 million of operating and maintenance-related adjustments for the six months.
