Pin Oak Creek Energy Center achieved commercial operation in April 2026 with 460 MW of natural-gas-fired capacity in ERCOT. The facility is designed as a peaker to operate during periods of highest demand and reliability stress, while retaining flexibility to run for longer periods when system conditions require it. The project responds to continued electricity-demand growth across Texas homes, businesses, and industry. Its dispatchable capacity is intended to strengthen ERCOT reliability and support regional economic growth.
