CF Industries is decarbonizing its ammonia network through carbon capture and sequestration, including a Donaldsonville project completed in July 2025 at a cost of approximately $200 million. The Donaldsonville project can sequester up to 2 million metric tons of CO2 annually and supports annual low-carbon ammonia capacity of approximately 1.9 million tons. A Yazoo City CCS project is expected to cost approximately $100 million, commence in 2028 and sequester up to approximately 500,000 metric tons of CO2 annually. A Verdigris abatement project completed in the fourth quarter of 2025 is expected to reduce annual CO2-equivalent emissions by more than 600,000 metric tons.
