Six-month total revenue increased 8% year over year to $3,586.3 million from $3,334.3 million, while second-quarter revenue increased 1% to $1,706.2 million from $1,692.0 million. Six-month clearing and transaction fee revenue rose 6% to $2,895.1 million, driven by a 10% increase in total contract volume to 4,060.3 million contracts, partly offset by a 3% decline in average rate per contract to $0.664. Second-quarter clearing and transaction fees declined 3% to $1,352.5 million as volume fell 1% and the average rate per contract decreased 2%, while market data and information services revenue increased 20% to $238.1 million. Cash markets transaction fees increased to $150.5 million in the first six months from $145.6 million, including BrokerTec fixed-income fees of $80.3 million and EBS foreign-exchange fees of $70.2 million.
