CFO Andy O’Brien will become ConocoPhillips President and CEO effective September 1, 2026. Current CEO Ryan Lance will retire from his executive roles and become executive chair after 14 years leading the company. Konnie Haynes-Welsh will replace O’Brien as CFO, while the transition occurs during execution of the Willow project and the US$7 billion 2029 free-cash-flow plan.
