ConocoPhillips appointed Andy O’Brien president and chief executive officer, effective Sept. 1, 2026, succeeding Ryan Lance, who will retire as CEO and become executive chair in a transitional role. O’Brien will also join the board and has overseen Alaska, international businesses, commercial, LNG, finance, corporate strategy, Investor Relations and mergers and acquisitions. Konnie Haynes-Welsh will become senior vice president and chief financial officer on Sept. 1, 2026, succeeding O’Brien. Haynes-Welsh has held ConocoPhillips finance and strategy leadership roles since joining the company in 2012, including treasurer and vice president of Finance and Controller.
