Pharmacy same-store sales increased 2.9% in the second quarter and 3.0% for the first six months, supported by pharmacy drug mix, brand inflation and prescription-volume growth. Pharmacy same-store prescription volume rose 7.0% in the quarter and 6.9% year to date. Prescriptions filled increased 4.3% and 4.0%, respectively, on a 30-day equivalent basis, with incremental volume from Rite Aid prescription-file acquisitions and increased utilization.
