Cash, cash equivalents and marketable securities totaled $8.5 billion at June 30, 2026, up from $6.3 billion at December 31, 2025. Total debt and finance-lease liabilities declined to $37.1 billion from $40.8 billion, primarily because of maturing long-term notes, a finance-lease repayment and lower commercial-paper balances. Commercial-paper borrowings declined to $4.1 billion from $4.6 billion, while obligations due within one year totaled $11.3 billion. Chevron had $11.4 billion of committed 364-day credit facilities with no borrowings outstanding, and Chevron-guaranteed securities retained AA- and Aa2 ratings from S&P and Moody’s.
