Delta received the first of 14 VIP-configured Airbus A321neo aircraft dedicated to NBA player and staff charters. The aircraft will replace older Boeing 757-200s and feature lie-flat beds and specialized interiors for tall passengers and team equipment. The jets are leased from SMBC Aviation Capital to the NBA and may be used for ad-hoc charters during the NBA offseason.
