Competition between Delta and Alaska Airlines is intensifying at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, particularly in long-haul international flying. Alaska has the larger overall Seattle market share because of its domestic network, while Delta reportedly holds the larger international long-haul share. Delta is reinstating Seattle–Tokyo Narita service in March 2027 using Airbus A330-900neo aircraft, complementing its existing Tokyo Haneda service.
