Deere is recalling more than 375 employees to its Quad Cities facilities in Moline and East Moline. Approximately 150 workers will support Seeding and Cylinder operations in Moline, while about 225 will return to Harvester Works in East Moline. The rehiring is intended to build dealer inventory ahead of upcoming planting and harvesting cycles, strengthen manufacturing capacity, and maintain customer service during future labor negotiations. Deere has brought back or hired more than 800 employees across Iowa and Illinois since January, after laying off more than 2,000 workers since April 2024.
