DANAHER CORP /DE/ · 2026-07-21 · Importance 49 · Surprise 32 · No source text
Biotechnology segment sales increased 4.0% in the second quarter and 7.5% in the first half of 2026, with core sales growth of 2.5% and 4.5%, respectively. Consumables led growth in both periods, while equipment sales increased in the quarter but declined year to date. Bioprocessing posted low-single-digit quarterly and mid-single-digit year-to-date core growth, driven primarily by improved consumables demand; certain large commercial customers shifted shipment timing out of the quarter. Discovery and medical demand improved, led by consumables purchased by pharma and biopharma customers and a modestly improving academic and research funding environment, while geographically China led growth and North America was weaker.
