Life Sciences sales increased 5.5% in the second quarter and 4.5% in the first half of 2026, driven primarily by consumables and secondarily by equipment demand. Applied, pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical and biotechnology customer demand continued to strengthen, while academic and government demand improved modestly but remained muted. High-growth markets led geographic growth in both periods. Filtration growth was driven by higher demand for microelectronic and energy products; instruments growth included flow cytometry, lab automation and mass spectrometry consumables, with microscopy and mass spectrometry equipment demand improving in the quarter but equipment demand lower year to date.
