Disney spent $18.152 billion on programming licenses, sports rights, and produced film and television content during the nine months ended June 27, 2026, up 3% from $17.608 billion in the prior-year period. Programming licenses and rights spending increased to $11.101 billion from $10.492 billion, while produced film and television content spending decreased to $7.051 billion from $7.116 billion. Ending produced and licensed programming assets declined to $32.127 billion from beginning balances of $33.390 billion after $19.258 billion of amortization. Sports programming and production costs increased 5% year to date to $11.298 billion because of contractual rate increases and new sports rights, partly offset by the absence of UFC rights costs.
