Renewable generation increased 14.1% year over year to 2,295 GWh across Electric Utilities and Infrastructure for the first six months of 2026. Duke Energy Progress renewable generation rose 37.3% to 162 GWh, while Duke Energy Florida increased 13.8% to 1,976 GWh. Coal generation increased 17.8% in the second quarter across the electric segment and 51.9% year to date at Duke Energy Florida, while hydro generation declined 58.4% year to date across the segment. Duke Energy Ohio also increased year-to-date natural-gas-and-oil generation 81.5% to 245 GWh, reflecting changes in its generation mix.
