The United States remained Ecolab’s largest market across all four reportable segments, with second-quarter sales of $955.3 million in Global Water, $851.6 million in Global Institutional & Specialty, $246.8 million in Global Pest Elimination and $58.8 million in Global Life Sciences. Greater China showed particularly strong demand, with second-quarter sales increasing approximately 51% in Global Water, 11% in Global Institutional & Specialty and 41% in Global Life Sciences year over year. Asia Pacific sales increased approximately 11% in Global Water and 12% in Global Institutional & Specialty, while Latin America increased approximately 16% and 23% in those segments, respectively. Europe was also strong in Global Life Sciences, where sales increased approximately 22% year over year; India, Middle East and Africa was comparatively weaker, with Global Water and Global Institutional & Specialty sales declining approximately 11% and 4%, respectively.
