CECONY’s second-quarter net income increased by $25 million from a higher electric rate base and the timing of billing a rate increase, and by $23 million from a higher gas rate base and related billing timing. O&R’s results included a $3 million benefit from an electric base-rate increase and a $2 million benefit from a gas base-rate increase. For the first six months, CECONY reported $33 million of benefit from its higher electric rate base and $26 million from its higher gas rate base, while O&R reported $8 million and $4 million, respectively, from electric and gas base-rate increases.
