CECONY’s five-year forecast for average annual firm peak gas demand changed from 0.2% growth for 2026–2030 to a 0.2% decline for 2027–2031. Its average annual peak steam demand forecast also weakened, changing from a 0.9% decline to a 0.7% decline over the comparable forecast periods. In contrast, O&R’s firm peak gas demand forecast changed from 1.2% growth to 0.7% growth for 2027–2031. The forecasts indicate softer demand for CECONY gas and steam while O&R gas demand remains modestly positive.
