Marketing costs increased 60% to $1.950 billion, gathering, processing and transportation costs increased 49% to $676 million, and taxes other than income increased 43% to $431 million. Depreciation, depletion and amortization increased 20% to $1.259 billion, consistent with higher production and asset levels. General and administrative expense increased 15% to $213 million, while impairment expense declined to $19 million from $39 million.
