On February 3, 2026 FE PA filed a proposed Distribution Service Plan (DSP) to procure generation for the June 1, 2027 through May 31, 2031 delivery period via competitive procurements for customers without an alternative EGS. The proposed supply mix includes competitively procured 12‑ and 24‑month contracts, 60‑month contracts for residential customers, and spot market purchases for industrial customers. Hearings for the DSP are scheduled to begin June 15, 2026 and FE PA expects a final PPUC order in the fourth quarter of 2026. The DSP outcome will determine how generation supply costs and contract tenors are sourced and recovered for FE PA customers during the 2027–2031 delivery period.
