Capital Markets Asset Review

Fidelity National Information Services, Inc. · 2026-08-05 · Importance 45 · Surprise 50

FIS plans to sell portions of its Capital Markets unit after slower sales reduced segment revenue and profit performance. The company is reviewing strategic alternatives for select products rather than abandoning the entire Capital Markets business. Capital Markets revenue increased 3.5% in the second quarter, below the company’s overall 29.1% reported revenue growth. Management linked the review to weaker professional-services sales, slower backlog conversion and slower-than-expected lending growth.
