Sports Content Demand
Fox Corp (FOX, FOXA) · 2026-08-06 · Importance 44 · Surprise 24
Sports programming was the principal growth driver for fiscal 2026 advertising and content revenues. FOX benefited from broadcasts of the FIFA Men’s World Cup, additional NFL postseason games, and additional MLB postseason games, while sports sublicensing revenue also increased. The sports slate increased programming-rights amortization and production costs, particularly from soccer rights, and included higher NFL costs. At Television, the absence of Super Bowl LIX reduced the comparison benefit, but the World Cup and additional NFL postseason programming more than offset that factor.
