On January 15, 2026 GE announced that its CES segment will expand to include the entire commercial engine lifecycle — covering safety and quality, product management, engineering, supply chain, manufacturing and aftermarket services — signaling a vertical integration of product development, manufacturing and aftermarket within CES. The company also moved its Aeroderivative business from CES to the Defense & Propulsion Technologies (DPT) segment, changing reporting and operational alignments. GE has recast previously reported amounts to conform to the updated segment presentation, which will affect comparability of prior periods and how the CODM manages resources across CES and DPT.
