Gilead agreed with the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) to expand access to twice-yearly lenacapavir, marketed as Yeztugo, for HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis across PAHO Member States in Latin America and the Caribbean. PAHO’s Regional Revolving Funds will provide a coordinated procurement pathway, including for 14 countries not covered by existing voluntary licensing agreements. Gilead is also exploring local production of lenacapavir in Brazil. The initiative addresses regional HIV infections that increased 13% between 2010 and 2024.
