GILEAD SCIENCES, INC. · 2026-10-30 · Importance 35 · Surprise 40 · No source text
Research and development expenses increased 19% to $1.6 billion for the three months ended September 30, 2026, and increased 13% to $4.7 billion for the nine months. Nine-month personnel, infrastructure and support costs rose primarily because of acquisition integration expenses, including $229 million of stock-based compensation related to Arcellx, Ouro Medicines and Tubulis, as well as other higher employee-related costs. Clinical studies and other costs increased mainly due to higher clinical materials and study-support costs, partially offset by lower oncology clinical study activity.
