Liquidity and Cash Position
GILEAD SCIENCES, INC. · 2026-10-30 · Importance 25 · Surprise 24
Cash and cash equivalents were $6.4 billion as of September 30, 2026. Net cash provided by operating activities increased to $11.152 billion for the nine months ended September 30, 2026, primarily due to lower income tax payments, collections on higher product sales, the Lakefront collaboration payment and lower inventory spending, partly offset by higher operating spending. Net cash used in investing activities was $8.821 billion, mainly reflecting payments for the Arcellx, Tubulis and Ouro Medicines acquisitions, partly offset by liquidation of marketable securities. Net cash used in financing activities was $3.423 billion, with the year-over-year change driven by debt-offering proceeds and lower repurchases, partly offset by higher debt repayments and a contingent consideration payment.
