Georgia Power, a Southern Company unit, signed an agreement with Google to upgrade two Georgia nuclear plants. The project could add 96 megawatts of capacity and represents approximately $900 million of benefits to customers, subject to regulatory approval. Google will subscribe to a new tariff and receive Zero-Emission Credits for the carbon-free nuclear generation, supporting data-center electricity demand and clean-energy objectives.
